THRIVE Second home lighting project in Afghanistan for United Nations (UNAMA)
THRIVE has been awarded second LED based home lighting project in Afghanistan on 19th April 2007. The project to light up 2000 homes in Logar and Laghman is completed. More details in Afghan Section
LED based home lighting Project for Kondh tribes in Orissa, INDIA

The DM supported LED lighting project in Orissa has begun in collaboration with ANKURAN. (Click here for details from world bank site) By November 2007 LED home lights are installed in around 160 villages in Bandhugoan and Narayanapatna Blocks. The project aims to install around 10000 lights by the end of 2007, and another 50,000 lights by 2008 with the help of NGOs and corporates.

THRIVE Idea and the Development Marketplace 2006 Award to THRIVE is appreciated by former President of India Shri. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam during his visit to Hyderabad on 10th June, 2006. Hon'ble former President has given suggestions to improve the light.
